Today’s Scripture: Acts 2:42
From the very beginning, God designed people for relationships. Before sin entered the world, God declared that it was not good for man to be alone. Throughout Scripture, we see God’s desire for people to live in community with Him and with one another.
The early church understood this truth. Acts 2 describes believers who devoted themselves to teaching, fellowship, prayer, and sharing life together. Their faith was deeply personal, but it was never private.
Today many people attempt to follow Jesus independently. They attend church occasionally, consume Christian content online, and try to grow spiritually on their own. While those things can be helpful, they were never intended to replace biblical community.
God often uses relationships to encourage us, challenge us, comfort us, and help us grow.
Community reminds us that we are not alone in our struggles, questions, victories, or disappointments. It provides support when life becomes difficult and celebration when life is good. Most importantly, community helps us experience God’s love through the people He places around us.
Spiritual growth was never intended to happen in isolation. God designed us to walk alongside one another.

PRAYER
Father, from the beginning You declared it was not good for us to be alone. Forgive me for the times I try to follow You on my own. Thank You for the people You have placed around me to encourage, challenge, and comfort me. Help me experience Your love through community and remember that I was never meant to grow in isolation.
